From August 1 to 9, 2026, a special art exhibition will take place in Limburg. In the Terpkerk in Urmond, a historic small church in the municipality of Stein along the Meuse river, seven artists from the Netherlands and Belgium will present work in bronze, wood, jewelry, and painting. Free admission, directly from the artist. This is the 36th edition of the annual IKP exhibition.

Gerry Delnoy
Bronze sculptures – Heerlen
Gerry Delnoy has been creating bronze sculptures with great enthusiasm for over 25 years. In every sculpture, he demonstrates his passion for this beautiful craft. His inspiration leads to figures of people and animals, in which he aims to portray movement, love, and a warm radiance.
Jenny Franken
Painting – Schinnen
Jenny works intuitively within figurative and semi-abstract painting. Her work centers on human emotions, vulnerability, and inner experience, where figures seem to slowly appear and dissolve into color and movement. During the painting process, she lets herself be guided by feeling, spontaneity, and letting go of exact reality. Her paintings hover between stillness and expression, leaving room for the viewer’s own interpretation. In 2023, she graduated in painting from the Maasmechelen Art Academy as a laureate and cum laude, followed by a specialization in painting in 2025.
Wies Verhage
Painting – Beek
Wies Verhage has been painting since 2011 with great passion and a feeling for abstract figuration and colorful compositions. Her work focuses not only on color, but especially on the structure and materials she uses. She employs, among other things, plaster, sand, and tile adhesive to add relief and texture. From these layers, shapes and figures emerge that develop during the process. By adding color and depth, the painting slowly grows into a whole where patterns, movement, and emotion converge.
Jordy Koumans – KOJO Art
Visual arts – Tilburg
Jordy Koumans, the visual artist behind KOJO Art, grew up in Elsloo and lives and works in Tilburg. In his work, he explores color, form, and space, with a preference for abstract compositions and geometric color fields.
Raymond ten Vaarwerk
Sculptures – Urmond
During a holiday, Raymond ten Vaarwerk and his wife happened upon an art exhibition. They saw beautiful works of art and thought: we can do that too. His wife chose ceramics, he chose wood. What followed was a self-taught journey full of challenges and fun. Without formal education or training, he only makes what he finds beautiful and challenging. Combinations of wood and steel give his work a robust yet refined appearance.
Yvonne Baggen
Painting and mixed media – Stein
Drawing and painting have been second nature to Yvonne Baggen from an early age. In her works, she often uses rust as a material, as a symbol for the unavoidable transience of life. Nature and the traces of time are her greatest sources of inspiration.
Yoke Eyna
Jewelry – Zolder (Belgium)
Yoke Eyna is a Belgian jewelry artist who makes unique creations in silver and gold. Her jewelry has a mystical, poetic quality that goes straight to the heart. Every piece of jewelry has a name and a symbolism, always referring to the wisdom of nature. The artist does not see nature as something outside ourselves, but as our home and even our essence: we are part of nature, we are nature.
The Terpkerk in Urmond, Limburg

IKP Maasvallei: art in the region
IKP (Internationale Kunst Promotie) was founded in 1990 at the initiative of the late Mr. Lei Alberigs: former director of, among other things, the Cultural Center in Venlo, author of various art books, and a great art collector himself.

After 36 years, this remains the driving force of IKP: bringing professional and amateur artists together, where passion and craftsmanship are much more important than diplomas or status. The exhibition is aimed at a wide audience and is free to visit. Every year there are new guest exhibitors, meaning there is always something new to discover. The artists are all personally present and tell their stories with passion.
