Last-minute Christmas gift for art lovers: these are your options

⏱️ 6 minute read

Christmas is almost here and you still don't have a gift. It happens to the best of us. But if you want to surprise someone with a last-minute Christmas gift for art lovers, you have more options than you think. Some can be arranged in minutes, while others can still arrive in time if you order now.

In this article, I'll walk you through all the options, from digital to physical, from large to small, and from inexpensive to generous.

---

Option 1: The digital gift card (arranged instantly)

This is the fastest and most straightforward solution for a last-minute Christmas gift. A KOJO Art gift card is digital, sent immediately after purchase, and looks polished in the recipient's inbox. No shipping hassle, no doubt about taste, no risk of getting the wrong artwork.

The recipient can browse the collection themselves and choose what suits them. Prints, Affordable Art, original works — everything is available. That's not a lazy choice. That's a respectful choice that says: I want you to choose something you genuinely love.

Giving a gift card for a painting or print also works excellently if the recipient has very specific taste. Instead of guessing, you give freedom. And freedom is a gift in itself.

Option 2: A print (fast delivery, easy to wrap)

Prints are my most popular products, and for good reason. They are available in multiple sizes, carefully packaged, and easy to wrap as a Christmas gift. For many sizes, if you order on time, it will be delivered before Christmas.

An art Christmas gift doesn't have to be big or expensive. A smaller print in a beautiful size, neatly wrapped with a personal card, is a gift that people remember. Especially if you add a personal note about why you chose this particular work.

Unsure which artwork to choose? Use this short checklist:

• What colors are present in the recipient's home?
• Do they prefer peace and space, or color and expression?
• Is there a specific wall or spot where the artwork should hang?
• What atmosphere do you want to evoke: warm and earthy, or cool and minimalist?

With these four questions, you'll get a long way. Check out the Art Prints collection.

Option 3: An Affordable Art piece (original, under €50)

Did you know you can give a genuine, unique, hand-painted artwork as an art Christmas gift for under €50? The Affordable Art collection consists of small original works in acrylic paint. Each piece is unique — and once it's gone, it's gone forever.

This is the kind of gift that surprises people. They don't expect an original painting under a certain budget. It's precisely this element of surprise that makes it so strong as a last-minute Christmas gift for art lovers: it feels thoughtful, even if you order it at the last minute.

Christmas gift for an art lover: man or woman?

A question people often ask: does it matter if you're buying a Christmas gift for a male or female art lover? Honestly, less than you think. Art is personal, not necessarily gender-specific. But there are a few patterns I see in my own sales.

Christmas gift for female art lovers

Women at KOJO Art more often choose warmer tones — terracotta, dusty rose, warm ochre — and abstract works with a soft, organic energy. Smaller format prints are popular, as are the Affordable Art pieces they can place somewhere or hang on a smaller wall. A gift card also works well here: they enjoy browsing the collection themselves.

Christmas gift for male art lovers

Men more often choose darker, more powerful palettes — navy, burgundy, deep green — and larger formats that make a statement in a room. Think of a large print or an original painting that defines a wall. But here too, if you're in doubt, the gift card is the safest and most respectful choice.

The most important thing remains: look at the recipient's interior, not their gender.

Inexpensive Christmas gift for art lovers: does it exist?

Yes. And I'm not saying that to sell my own products — I'm saying it because I know what's in my Affordable Art collection. An original, hand-painted artwork for under €50 is not a compromise. It's a conscious choice for small and unique over large and mass-produced.

But a smaller print is also a beautiful, affordable Christmas gift for art lovers. You don't have to spend a lot to give something that will hang on the wall for years and enhance the atmosphere in the home every day.

What if the delivery deadline has passed?

Then the digital gift card is your best friend. But there's another option: print out the order as a gift. A screenshot or printout of the ordered artwork, with a personal card, is a nice way to show what's coming. This way, you still give something tangible under the Christmas tree, even if the artwork is still on its way.

Or: give the gift card physically. Print it out, put it in a nice envelope, and write a personal card with it. Simple, but effective.
