Gallery Atmosphere in Color Fields

Chelsea – a geometric interpretation of the quiet power and artistic energy of Chelsea, New York City's premier art district. Where white gallery walls and high windows meet color that is taken seriously, this work translates that tension into clean color fields of muted tones.

The Color Palette

For this work, I chose a palette that reflects the atmosphere of Chelsea: soft mauve and lilac tones, a warm terracotta reminiscent of the brick facades of the High Line, and cool taupe and gray tones. The colors capture the transition from industrial to refined, from raw to contemplative.

Technique & Material

Painted with high-quality acrylic paint on a 3D canvas, built up layer by layer with meticulous precision for clean geometric lines. The process takes 2-5 weeks per work, with each layer applied and dried with care.
