A wild sea under a night sky, captured in a glowing frame. Neon Tide is a work about contrast: the silent threat of dark water versus the raw energy of neon yellow. You can't look away.

The sea is built using a classic grisaille technique. First, a monochromatic acrylic underpainting that establishes the composition and light. Then, layer by layer of transparent glazes, applied with patience, until the sea acquired its depth and richness. You don't see it immediately. But you feel it.

The frame is not an afterthought. Made of texture paste, colored with highly pigmented acrylic paint in a striking neon yellow. Thickly applied, raw, and expressive. The frame is as much a part of the work as the painting itself. Two worlds that clash and yet belong together.
