Union Square | Original – a work from the New York City Districts series. Union Square is a district that never stands still. Not in energy, not in meaning. It's a place where contradictions don't clash but coexist – and I wanted to capture that tension in color and form.

Four planes. Four voices. Together, one district.

The Color Palette

Blue-gray for the coolness of early mornings. Warm orange for the hustle and bustle of the afternoon. Sand beige for what was there before the city grew so large. And a gradient from earthy green to light green – a reference to the park and the farmers' market that returns every week. No hierarchy between the planes – each has equal space, equal weight.

Technique & Material

Painted with high-quality acrylic paint on canvas, built up layer by layer with meticulous precision for clean geometric lines. The process takes 2-5 weeks per piece, with each layer applied and dried with care.
